After the track... a great place to go is Lake Local in Saratoga Lake. Downtown, Druthers on Broadway or Henry St Taproom for great drafts and pub "stick to your ribs" food.
Someone looking for more upscale would enjoy 15 church, but you need reservations well in advance as this is one of the best restaurants in town. They have a spacious outdoor patio as well. David Zucchini has a few great spots to choose from on or just off of Broadway. Italian fare (least to more expensive) Forno Tuscano, Boca, and Chianti.
Mazzone hospitality also rocks the seafood scene at Fish on Lake Ave (downtown), or Prime at Saratoga National Golf Club....and you can never go wrong with an amazing meal at Wheatfields, who takes great pride in their menu and pastas. One Caroline and the Mouzan House have a cool New Orleans atmosphere for a nice quiet meal. If live music and dancing is a must Post Time, hit the Horseshoe for casual fun or heel it up with champagne and fine fare at Siros!
Baileys or Gaffneys (off Carolina street) by the Library also usually have a lively atmosphere downtown and offer food as well. There are other spots off the beaten path, but those are some of my faves, to name a few.
